Greg Schlappi Course Designer

Since 1991, I’ve been designing & building cross country courses.  My reputation reflects my commitment to building solid, long-lasting educational courses. From Florida to Washington State to Canada, I have literally been involved with events nationwide!  I believe riders and horses should leave a course better prepared for the challenges of their next competition.

My credentials include “r” license for course design through the Preliminary level for USEF/USEA events and I have been a presenter/instructor at five USEA annual meetings on various design and construction subjects.

Besides cross country courses, my construction background includes owning and managing Desert Lake Systems, Inc., building lakes and waterfalls for golf courses, hotels, and housing developments in Arizona and Nevada.

Residing in Landrum, SC  / Tryon, NC with my wife Amy Barrington and son Ben, we find this thriving equestrian community to be an ideal environment for both of our businesses.  Amy has an active eventing training barn and the local resources for quality creftsmanship and jump building materials are among the best in the country!
